Sweden Rock Festival 2026

Every year in June, a small corner of Sweden explodes. For 4 days, 40,000 fans from all over the world gather in the small village of Norje united by the same thing: the love of hard rock. Five stages. Over 90 bands. Legends we grew up with. New favorites we haven’t heard yet. The best week of the year is almost happening again.
It all started in 1992 as an odd little festival in Olofström - with a heart that beat for rock, hard rock, blues and the narrow. The following year, the festival moved to Karlshamn, and soon the stages were filled with legends like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Fleetwood Mac and Black Sabbath.
In 1998, the festival entered its current hometown of Norje, Sölvesborg - and the world started listening. Blue Öyster Cult, Status Quo and Dee Snider opened the field. A year later, everything was renamed Sweden Rock Festival, and the focus was turned up: heavier, harder, bigger.
Sweden Rock Festival has become known as one of the world’s most well-organized rock festivals.
Today, the Sweden Rock Festival is a paradise that brings together rock- and metalheads from over 60 countries - every year. Over 4 days, 5 stages are filled with over 90 bands from the various genres of metal. The stage has hosted the giants of metal, hard rock, and all genres of metal and rock.
Sweden Rock is about the bands on stage - but also about the experience, the whole. About everything working, feeling good and giving the visitors four days they’ll never forget. Sweden Rock team work hard every year to make the festival better than the year before. Smooth flow, great food, fresh facilities and a festival area that offers something for all visitors.
What is particular about the Sweden Rock Festival is the atmosphere. People get along, help each other and share a love of hard rock. It’s a family, a sanctuary, a loud homecoming. That’s why it is something more than just an experience: a festival to come year after year.
